exiting europe

Tarifa is probably a lovely little seaside town, but this morning was blowing a gale and whipping sand across the road furiously.

We spent as little time as possible before purchasing ferry tickets and riding the bikes into the hold of the catamaran.

This vessel is seriously huge, with several decks of passenger lounges and three cavernous below deck levels for vehicles and general freight.

Once the bikes were parked and lashed down to floor bolts we retired upstairs for a lazy meal during the 45 minute crossing.

The seas outside are a mess of whitecaps on mountainous black seas being whipped furiously by the wind. Inside however the vessels mass and sophisticated stabilisers are doing their job perfectly for people dining or enjoying duty free shopping.
